Gemstones

All pirates seek out treasures... in our travels we've come across a few gems (other sites of interest) that we'd like to share. Some offer more information about areas we've visited, others offer services for cruisers. We'll be adding to the links as we come across interesting sources.

Cruising Solutions

Great folks specializing in cost effective equipment for life under sail - propellers, fuel filters, lighting, refrigeration, head seats and safety gear. They've proven their products by extensively cruising with them. (www.cruisingsolutions.com

National Leukemia Cup Regatta

Start a regatta in your area, or participate in an existing event.

Ames Point Boatworks

For repair work or custom boat building, check this yard out.

St Clair Sailboat Center

Bob Reed sold us "Another Adventure" and changed our lives forever.

Mack Sails

Colin and Travis Mack provide innovative solutions and great service. They reworked our genoa in 2008 adding new tapes and a new sun cover.

Great Dismal Adventures

Robert Peek offers the opportunity to tour Lake Drummond and the Dismal Swamp Canal by float boat. It's the ideal way to see this historic treasure that dates back to George Washington's day (Washington dug here).

Island HoppInn

This small resort with international clientele is located on Cat Island, east of Georgetown, in the Bahamas. Cathy, the Ohio raised owner/inn keeper welcomes cruisers and guests who fly into the international airport from Nassau or Fort Lauderdale. It's a quiet location with great sand beaches and clear water.
